Nicholas Ruunu c1d141bea3 Fix issue with prepending zero in percentage
Before it was a bug when flooring negative numbers added to the length of
the number for the sprintf mask.
For example -0.091 becomes -9.1 in percentage, floors to -10 which is going to
increase $wholePartSize by 1 and add a leading zero to the result: -09.1% with
format 0.0%.
This happened for negative ranges where floor will increse the length of
the original number.

While we might never be able to have 100% of our code strict, we can at
the very least do it for all of our tests. This ensures that our tests
are using our API with the types as intended by the test author, and not
silently be cast to what our API requires.

oleibman fd61638206 Fractional Seconds in Date/Time Values (#3677)
This is a replacement for PR #2404 which has been open for almost 2 years, and which I will close now. As submitted, it broke many unit tests, and no attempt was made to fix those and add others. However, while reviewing it, I found that, among all the tests which it accidentally broke, there were tests which it "broke" (in ExplicitDateTest) which were actually wrong in the first place. That seemed a good enough reason to investigate further.

The original PR suggested the change was needed because "there is now support for microseconds when reading Datetime cells". I'm not sure that's true. Time of day is stored as a fraction of a day, and nothing prevents microseconds from being part of that fraction. It is true that Excel does not allow you to format a date/time cell to display more than 3 decimal positions for the seconds value, even if the value turns out to be accurate to the microsecond, and that has not changed. It is also true that Php supports microsecond accuracy in its DateTime objects, and it behooves PhpSpreadsheet to accommodate that.

PhpSpreadsheet, like Excel, nominally supported the use of one, two, or three decimals when displaying seconds. However, it did not do it correctly, and there had been no tests of this using a value where the decimals were anything other than 0. One existing test, in NumberFormatDates, was wrong. It is fixed and new tests added.

oleibman 9a13f526c5 Redo Calculation of Color Tinting (#3580)
* Redo Calculation of Color Tinting

Fix #3550. Some colors are specified in Excel by specifying a theme color to which a tint is applied. The original PHPExcel algorithm for doing this was developed by trial and error, and is good enough a lot of the time. However, for the issue at hand, the resulting color is detectably different from the calculation that Excel makes. Searching the web, I found https://gist.github.com/Mike-Honey/b36e651e9a7f1d2e1d60ce1c63b9b633 which comes much closer for the case in hand, and for all the other cases that I've looked at. That code depends on Python colorsys package; I have adapted the code from the Python gist and package into a new Php class. This doesn't agree perfectly with Excel. However, if each of the red, green, and blue components (each a value between 0 and 255 inclusive) agree within plus or minus 3 (arbitrary choice) of Excel's result, I think that is good enough.

I have added a new test member which reads from a spreadsheet with Xml altered by hand to set up several theme/tint cells. These tests use the plus-or-minus-3 criterion. They result in 100% code coverage of the new class.

Unsuprisingly, some existing tests failed with the new code. Issue2387Test reads a theme/tint font color, and is changed to use the plus-or-minus-3 criterion, comparing against the color as Excel shows it.

ColorChangeBrightness showed 9 failures with the new code. It consists of calculations not involving a spreadsheet. For that reason, I felt it was sufficient to just do an exact match test, changing the 9 old results for new results confirmed with the Python code. I also added one new test case, the one that kicked off this entire PR.

oleibman 8de218f575 Problems Formatting Very Small and Very Large Numbers (#3152)
* Problems Formatting Very Small and Very Large Numbers

Fix #3128 (author found a workaround but the problem remains). For some complex masks, when a cast of the cell value from float to string results in the use of scientific notation, the result of the formatting is unusable. I believe this PR solves the problem for numbers close to zero (Php cast from float to string uses scientific notation starting with 1E-5), and for a range of large numbers which are not handled correctly now.

However, I have not found a way to ensure that the results match Excel for very large numbers (1E18 or larger); this change at least ensures that the resulting string is an accurate rendition of the number (which is not the case now) even if doesn't match Excel. As an example, if you use the mask reported in the original issue `0 000.0` and enter a value of 1E90 into the cell, Excel will show it as 1 followed by 87 zeros, a space, 3 more zeros, decimal point and zero. I have not figured out how to get PhpSpreadsheet to do that; for now, it will just return the formatted value as 1 followed by 90 zeroes instead (I might have chosen to go with scientific notation instead). I will continue to think about those, but do not feel it is worth delaying the improvements in this ticket while I do so.

The affected section of code also truncated to the appropriate precision. It now rounds, as Excel does.

This seemed to be an area of code where problems might arise on 32-bit systems, and, indeed, I found something in the formatting code which had to be changed for 32-bit to work correctly. As long as I was doing that anyhow, I ran the full test suite, and found that Php8.1 had introduced some new stringencies which caused problems in a handful of places. All were found in Xls Reader, and all are corrected now.

Scrutinizer will be happy now.

oleibman 3e8d50547c Minor Fix for Percentage Formatting (#3053)
Fix #1929. This was already substantially fixed, but there was a lingering problem with an unexpected leading space. It turns out there was also a problem with leading zeros, also fixed. There are also problems involving commas; fixing those seems too complicated to delay these changes, but I will add it to my to-do list.

oleibman 7fe5ee84ea Time Interval Formatting
Fix #2768. DateFormatter handles only one of six special formats for time intervals `[h] [hh] [m] [mm] [s] [ss]`. This PR extends support to the rest. There should be no more than one of these in any format string. Although it certainly could make sense to treat `[d] [dd]` in the same manner, Excel does not seem to support those.

Interesting observations - hours and minutes are truncated (presumably because they may be followed by minutes and seconds), but seconds are rounded. Also, there are some floating point issues, which fortunately showed up for the example in the original issue. There, the time interval was 1.15, which should evaluate to a minutes value of 1656 (as it does in Excel). However, on my system it evaluated to 1655 because of a rounding error in the 13th decimal place. To overcome this, values are rounded to 10 decimal places before truncating.

oleibman 710f9f17a7 Fraction Formatting (#2254)
* Fraction Formatting

See issue #2253. User's analysis was correct - leading zeros in the decimal portion were being stripped out, so 0.0625 and 0.625 were being treated the same. As it turns out, integers also aren't handled well (`0 0/1` anyone?). The latter problem had been hidden because caller tested for integer first and skipped call if true; but FractionFormatter::format is public and should work correctly regardless. All Phpstan baseline entries for FractionFormatter and NumberFormatter are eliminated. New test data is added; no need for changes to test code.

oleibman 97a80f383c Improve HTML Writer (#1464)
There are a number of situations where HTML write was producing
HTML which could not be validated. These include:

  - inconsistent use of backslash terminating META, IMG, and COL tags
  - @page style tags in body rather than header. Aside from being
non-standard, HTML Reader treats those as spreadsheet data.
  - <div style="page-break-before:always" />, a construct which is
usually better handled through css anyhow.
  - no alt tag for images (drawings and charts)

Other problems:

  - Windows file names not handled correctly for images
  - Memory drawings not handled in extendRowsForChartsAndImages
  - No handling of different values for showing gridlines
    for screen and print
  - Mpdf and Dompdf do not require the use of inline css.
Tcpdf remains a holdout in the use of this inferior approach.
  - no need to chunk base64 encoding of embedded images
  - support for colors in number format was buggy (html tags
    run through htmlspecialchars)

Code has been refactored when practical to reduce the number of
very large functions.

Coverage is now 100% for the entire HTML Writer module,
from 75% lines and 39% methods beforehand.

All functions dealing only with charts
are bypassed for coverage because the version of Jpgraph available in
Composer is not suitable for PHP7. The code will, nevertheless,
run successfully, but with warning messages. I have confirmed that
the code is entirely covered, without warnings, when the current
version of Jpgraph is used in lieu of the one available in Composer.
I will be glad to revisit this when the Jpgraph problem is resolved.

Directory PhpSpreadsheetTests/Writer/Html was created to house
the new tests. It seemed logical to move HtmlCommentsTest to
the new directory from PhpSpreadsheetTests/Functional.

A function to generate all the HTML is useful, especially for testing,
but also in lieu of the multiple other generate* functions. I have
added and documented generateHTMLAll.

The documentation for the generate* functions (a) produces invalid html,
(b) produces html which cannot be handled correctly by HTML reader,
and (c) even if those were correct, does not actually affect
the display of the spreadsheet. The documentation has been replaced
by a valid, and more instructive, example.

The (undocumented) useEmbeddedCss property, and the functions
to test and set it are no longer needed. Rather than breaking
existing code by deleting them, I marked the functions deprecated.

This change borrows a change to LocaleFloatsTest from
pull request 1456, submitted a little over a week before this one.

## Improve NumberFormat Support

First phase of this change included correcting NumberFormat handling
in HTML Writer. Certain complex formats could not be handled without
changes to Style/NumberFormat, and I did not wish to combine those changes.

Once the original change had been pushed, I took this part of it back up.
HTML Writer can now handle conditions in formats like:
[Blue][>=3000.5]$#,##0.00;[Red][<0]$#,##0.00;$#,##0.00
In testing, I discovered several errors and omissions
in handling of some other formats.
These are now corrected, and tests added.

For example when the format string with a locale such as `[$-1010409]#,##0.00;-#,##0.00` appears, a value of 9.98 comes back as $9.98. This is because at https://github.com/PHPOffice/PhpSpreadsheet/blob/1.4.0/src/PhpSpreadsheet/Style/NumberFormat.php#L711 the numberFormat regex will match to the zeros inside the locale ([$-1010409]). Attempts to adjust the numberFormat regex caused regressions in other tests. Adding another step to filter out the locale caused no regression.
